Nowadays, innovation is the key factor for e-commerce success but only a few can afford it and apply to their business. In the online trade, it makes a big difference especially in terms of user experience. This is what Google took into account and developed a new type of search engine for online shops last year and has just launched a new edition of it, the Google Commerce Search 2.0.
The program aims to help those online shops who do not own working search or spell-check functions. The greatest improvement of Commerce Search 2.0 is the customized dashboard for e-commerce. It helps the online retailers to get into the search results with sale prices and promotions. However, websites with higher traffic will be still listed on the first page of search results since Google’s search engine works on the basis of the amount of items listed on the retailer’s website and the number of requests for them.
Like in the case of every invention, the first prototypes have weaknesses but the upcoming critics can improve them a lot. This happened with Google Commerce Search too since its 2.0 version showed a relevant improvement compared to its predecessor. It is expected to become wide-spread and a relevant tool for e-commerce business in the close future.
