We list 5 questions you should ask before opening your ecommerce business. We do not consider a simple internet business, but more than that. This is a real shop with walls, clients that you receive daily or regularly.
This trade once you're inside will require a lot of effort from you, hours
of endless work - some work at least 65h per week. But the most interesting
part is that you are your own boss, you have no order to receive, you manage
your own schedule.
To be a little more prepared, see the 5 questions you should consider:
- Is what I'm doing for trade?
- Before opening the business: In what area do I have skills?
- Can I start my own business or resume another?
- Do I prefer to be accompanied or undertake alone?
- What is the competition in this area?
1st question: Is what I'm doing for trade?
Ask yourself this question before moving on to the next steps, will you save time and money? Ask yourself if you like being in contact with people, if you like a service, if you want to exceed? Before undertaking anything, ask yourself this question. You may say that it is logical, but how many traders have taken over a business, then 1 or 2 years later they said it was not for them.2nd question: In what area do I have skills to open my store?
Ask yourself if you have a hobby, an activity that can attract you or particularly any experience you want to undertake? It's a bit like doing a retrospective, looking at the things we can do well , less well or not at all. If you ask this question before you start your project it will reduce your failures in your future business.3rd question: Am I going to start my own business or resume another?
Am I able to create my business from zero, do I have the financial capacity and enough experience to realize this project from A to Z? Or, do I prefer to take less risk and start a business that already exists? These criteria are truly to be considered before opening your business. You should know before you start if you are able to create or re-trade. Depending on what you choose you will undertake in this direction.4th question: Do I prefer to be accompanied (network) or start on my own?
Depending on your choice of trade you can either choose a franchise or begin alone. Depending on your idea, your experience and financial capacity you make the choice that suits your needs the most. You can join a franchise network with its advantages and disadvantages, but the banks will see your project more credible because it has already proved its worth. So they will be more willing to help you financially with a possible loan. If you feel that your idea is good after having conducted a market study and you do not want to depend on a network, you can do it alone.5th question: What is the competition in this area?
Do you have an idea? Do you learn about your project? Do you wonder if it has potential or if someone has already used it before you? Before starting please make sure if there is still room for your business idea. Go look at what your competitors do for a customer, ask them questions about their products. Conduct a survey if possible. Now we arrived to the end of these 5 questions you need to ask yourself before starting any trade or business. There are many other questions but these allow you to filter the activities you want to engage in at a glance.
